We are pleased to announce the addition of the Run 4 The Seeing Eye to our roster of fun local races! It promises to be one of the most exciting Fall races in the state and is a perfect way start your evening in downtown Morristown. There will also be a one-mile "doggy dash" where you can bring your canine pals for a walk or jog. After the event you can celebrate your achievement at one of Morristown's great local bars. The Seeing Eye is one of our favorite charity groups, and we are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with them to present a brand new race in Morristown - The Run 4 The Seeing Eye. This USATF certified four-mile race will be similar to the route used by The Super Sunday 4 Miler. It will be held on the evening of September 8, the night before the popular Gran Fondo bike ride. "1 Mile Doggy Dash and Walk." You can run or walk the mile and you will get be joined by lots of puppies who are in training to be Seeing Eye guide dogs. Cute!

Time: 2:30pm walk, 3:00pm run
Location: DeHart St., Morristown

Course:
This scenic 4-mile course starts on Maple St. in the heart of Morristown, travels South on James Street, into the beautiful Springbrook golf course neighborhood and then back on Route 202. The finish line will be on DeHart Street near the parking garage and, more importantly, the local bars! The course is USATF certified and is mostly flat with some rolling hills around the golf course. The final mile is very fast. There will be a water station around the 2 mile mark. The 1 Mile Doggy Dash and Walk starts at the same place as the 4 Miler and is almost completely flat. 


Healthy, well-behaved dogs and puppies (6 months of age and older) are permitted to participate in the 1-mile doggy dash only. All canine participants must be up-to-date on vaccinations and must be on leashes no longer than 6’ at all times. Liability waivers must also be completed by owners.
