Harding Halloween Half Marathon

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2022 Harding Halloween Half Marathon! Registration for the 2023 event coming soon!

 

Highlights:

  • Long sleeved tech tees to first 1,000 registrants!

  • Large finisher medals to all Half Marathon finishers!

  • Prizes will be awarded to top 3 overall male and female runners!

  • Free post-run pizza from the Columbia Inn Food Truck!

  • Scenic Course through beautiful Harding Township!

Place: Race will start and finish at Ginty Field in Morris Township. Address for GPS is 49 Woodland Ave. Morristown.

Packet pickup: Saturday, October 15 from 10:00am-5:00pm at Jackrabbit (Fleet Feet) of Morristown. The address is 31 South St. Morristown. You CAN pick up for friends and family.

Packets will also be available race morning from 7:30-8:30 at Ginty field. SHIRT SIZES ARE NOT GUARANTEED ON RACE DAY.

Parking: Street parking on Woodland Ave., the municipal building at 50 Woodland Ave., Ginty Pool, Woodland School.

Water Stations:

2.0 miles - Water and Halloween candy

4.6 miles - Water, Gatorade and Halloween candy

6.7 miles - Water and Halloween candy

8.9 miles - Water, Gatorade and Halloween candy

11.2 miles - Water and Halloween candy

Awards: Prizes will be given to top 3 overall runners and top 3 in each 5 year age group. Special prizes will also be given out for the best Halloween costumes!

Time Limit: The course time limit is 3 hours.​

Bag drop: This race will not have a bag drop. The start and finish are in the same place and are very close to parking areas.

60 Minute Relay:  Want to be a part of the Halloween Half Marathon fun, but not up to running 13.1 miles? Form a team and see how far you can go in 60 minutes! Runners will run laps around Ginty Field (it's about 0.5 miles around) for 60 minutes.
Only one team member can run at a time but you can split up the 60 minutes however you would like!
Great way for kids to participate!
Keep track of your own laps! (honors system)
Teams can have up to 5 members!
Only one team member runs at a time, but parents are welcome to run along with their child.
All participants in the relay will receive a long sleeved tech shirt and a finisher medal!

Walk or run!
Prizes for the top 3 teams that cover the most distance!

The relay will start at 9:05am, right after the start of the half marathon.

Post Run Party: Fuel up after your run with free bananas, water, Gatorade, soft pretzels from Philly Pretzel Factory and FRESH, HOT PIZZA from the Columbia Inn's food truck! Atlantic Health will be providing post-run massages and Crunch Fitness will have some great raffle prizes!

 

NOTE: Feel free to enjoy the post run refreshments and DJ for as long as you'd like at Ginty Field, but please DO NOT congregate around the Police Station. The station property needs to be kept clear in case of emergencies. Also, do not leave bags around unattended.

Donate your old sneakers!

There will be a collection bin will be located at the start/finish line of the race. No metal cleats, please.  Proceeds will benefit the Harding Township PBA #340.
